Support @ the Hub
Sometimes circumstances change, or life simply throws us a curve ball. If you find yourself in need of a little support, practical or otherwise, we have a number of support services running from the Hub to help local residents.
You'll find a comprehensive list of our support services below- if you can't find what you need, please contact the team on 0161 941 2018 or info@ourhub.org - if we can't help we will do our best to direct you to someone who can.
Food Bank Vouchers
We act as one of the Trussell Trust Food Bank voucher issuers for Trafford South- please contact the office to discuss this need (0161 941 2018)
Community Meal
All are welcome to join a gathering round the table for a free homemade meal each Wednesday evening. We'd particularly encourage anyone who has been isolated or would enjoy some company, to come and join us. Please email Rachel on hopefood@altrinchambaptist.org or call the Hub office on 0161 941 2018 to book a seat.
Short-term shopping support
We can offer a short term service (up to 6 weeks) shopping on behalf of those who are currently struggling to do this independently (e.g. those recently out of hospital). Please contact the team on 0161 941 2018 or hopefood@altrinchambaptist.org to discuss this need.
Free Food Friday
Each Friday morning we welcome anyone who may need a little extra help with grocery supplies to pop down to the Hub and help themselves to some store- cupboard staples, free of charge. Run on a first come, first serve basis- don't forget to bring your own carrier bags if possible!
Digital Cafe
Friendly support for those who need some guidance navigating the internet, setting up online accounts (HMRC, DWP), making benefit applications online and practical support with digital technology. Free tea & coffee. Drop in- no appointment needed.

The Bread and Butter Thing
The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) is a charity that offers food at affordable prices. TBBT makes life more affordable for people, builds stronger communities and reduces food waste. They do this by selling £35-50 worth of food that is close to its use by date, for £5 (single bag) or £8.50 (family bag.) vegetarian options available.

Sign up by texting 07860 063304 giving your full name, postcode, the Hub name (The Hub Altrincham) and the size of the bag you would like.

You can then pay (cash or card) and collect from the Hub at 2.30pm on Tuesdays.
Renew Wellbeing
Our Renew Wellbeing space at the Hub is a space where it is ok to NOT be ok. You will find a listening ear, can give time to your own emotional & mental wellbeing, or simply take some quiet time. With free hot drinks & snacks, craft activities, board games & jigsaws on offer, feel free to drop in and chat with the team.

Citizens Advice Bureau
CAB give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem. Their network of charities offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Each Wednesday, drop in support sessions will be held by the community navigators from Citizens Advice Bureau, who can advise, sign post and arrange further support from CAB. They provide impartial advice & support on a wide range of issues including housing, utility payments, benefits, healthcare & employment.

CAP (Christians Against Poverty) is an award winning, national debt counselling charity, providing practical and emotional support to those struggling with debt or unemployment. For further details on their services, click through here

Paddingtons
A community that provides mutual support to welcome, encourage and support families of adopted and fostered children.
